Independent connection of polypropylene pipes
19 July 2019
Polypropylene pipes are connected by a welding machine for polypropylene pipes equipped with special nozzles.
For cutting polypropylene pipes a special tool is used - a pipe cutter. Before the process of connecting the pipes, it is necessary to clean the surface of the pipes from dust and dirt.
The process of welding polypropylene pipes:
- insert Teflon nozzles of the required diameter, heat the welding machine to 260 ° C;
- measure and cut a pipe of the required length in an upright position using a pipe cutter. If the pipe is reinforced with aluminum foil, remove the aluminum layer using strips for foil;
- the welding depth is marked on the pipe (see table of welding time);
- the pipe and fitting must be put on the nozzles of the welding machine;
- after heating, remove the pipe and fitting from the nozzles and put the parts on top of each other with slow movements (see table of welding times);
- wait until the welded surface is completely cooled (see table of welding times).
